Mo’knotic clothing is the new and trendy line targeted towards females.
It’s exactly what you always wanted in an outfit.
The Mo’knotic lady is a trendsetter. She knows exactly what she wants and posses all the right qualities to obtain them.
Mo’knotic has showcased its collection at many fashion shows across the GTA as a means of advertising.
Recently Mo’knotic was featured in Toronto’s Urbanology magazine fashion segment.
The designer behind the line, Simone Walsh studied fashion design at the International Academy of Design. After her studies, she decided to launch her own line. What really got Simone into designing clothing in the first place was a lack of finding clothing that would fit her. As a teen, she use to cut up her clothing into different styles and drew illustrations of outfits she would like to make.
So what inspires this designer? “I get my most of my inspiration from music! It just triggers all these ideas to go flying in my head and I start sketching. When I do shows, the music plays a big part in the overall presentation; I don’t just want my models to model, I really want them to feel the music and give my clothing life! When I go shopping for fabric, as soon as I see a nice piece of fabric, already I have an idea of what I want to make with it. Everything falls into place after that.”
What’s the biggest struggle in the designing business right now?
“Being taken seriously as a designer, getting the exposure you really need for your line, not making enough money in order to move on to the next step in the business.”
Currently Mo’knotic is working on being sold in retail stores and also online and would also like to sell the line in the USA.
Simone is also working on launching a male’s clothing line!
“My brothers have been bugging me for years about it, they really like my Mo’knotic line and wish I could pass some of that style onto the fellas”
